Alex Hondsmerk
President

This is now my second year with SCRUBS, and I'm excited to carry on as President and expand on the superb work done by the society last year! Many of you will recognise me from our evening lectures: I was one of the Anatomy Coordinators last year, as well as getting stuck in with skills teaching and events.

Outside of SCRUBS you'll find me either up a hill with the Wilderness Medicine Society, or in the kitchen procrasti-baking myriad cakes and cookies.

General Secretary

Aboyowa Popo
Vice President, Treasurer, Head of Academic Cell

Having been on the SCRUBS committee last year, I decided that SCRUBS was too exciting to leave and took on the role with the longest name.

I am hoping to try my best to continue the high standard that SCRUBS has and to especially improve the profile of the academic cell - to be able to offer as many research opportunities as possibe.

Outside of SCRUBS, I am usually found napping, eating or thinking about eating, talking too loudly or laughing too much.

Paul Thomas
Sponsorship and Publicity Co-ordinator

Hey everyone :)

I'm Sobia and this is my first year at SCRUBS. I will be mainly involved in the general organizing activities that would ensure smooth running of the society and its events. Getting excited by things that probably actually aren't (emailing for instance ...wut!) and being a perfectionist means the general secretary role couldn't suit me better. I'm thrilled to work with everybody else in the committee to bring you the best of SCRUBS's events :D

Outside of SCRUBS you'll find me in the library catching up with friends or at home cooking batches of curry to stock up for the oncoming weeks! My interests include classical Indian and Bollywood dancing, Shotokan karate and reading books.

My name is Paul and I'm a new addition to the SCRUBS team for 2014/2015 where I'll be taking the role of Sponsorship and Publicity co-ordinator. I'm really looking forward to the role where I'll hopefully be getting some new sponsors on board this year and liasing with our current ones. I'll also be letting all of yo know about the great events we have planned for the coming year.

I'm an aspiring surgeon but outside of SCRUBS you'll find me enjoying a good (large) glass of red wine, shoutinng too much at the TV when Wales are playing rugby and fuelling my probably unhealthy coffee addiction!

Martin Clarkson
Derby Skills Co-ordinator

Excited to back on the committee for a second year, Joanna is ready to launch herself into organising multiple events to get everyone one step closer to acing their exams and getting their dream job.

When she's not got her nose in a textbook, Joanna can be found on the campus 3G playing sports (usually rugby or football), listening to music way too loudly, or spending way too much time on tumblr.

Hello,

My name is Martin and I'm the new member of the SCRUBS team representing all of us here in Derby as the skills co-ordinator. I have a passion for surgery and I'm very excited to get stuck into the role and bring a lot of skills teachiing sessions to Derby, as well as helping out with our academic and anatomy revision sessions and workshops.

Outside of SCRUBS I enjoy rambling around various national trust sites or walking through the peak district, relaxing with a glass of wine or two, or watching the ice-hockey.
