Paul Thomas
President

I am now in my second year on the SCRUBS committee, and will take over as President for the 2015-16 year. We had a really successful year in 2014, so I am aiming to build on that for the coming year. Outside of SCRUBS my interests are Welsh rugby, wine and that student essential of my coffee machine!

If there is anything you would like to see SCRUBS doing for you, please get in touch and let us know!

Matt Green
Vice President and Treasurer

Hey everyone,

This is my first year on the committee and it will be my job to manage the societies finances as well as support other members of the committee and the president in their roles! I'm looking forward to building on the excellent work that the committee did last year in providing opportunities for students in the med school.

Outside of SCRUBS my interests include mountain biking, travelling and trying not to weep after a day of placement. If you spot me around and about then please feel free to say hi and offer any suggestions on things we could do any better!!

Maria Nowicka
Head of Skills

Hi Everyone!

This is my first year in the SCRUBS committee, and I am very excited to see what lies ahead! My job is to complete all of the administration tasks, sending countless emails and basically doing anything that needs to be done! I look forward to working with the rest of the committee to build on the reputation of SCRUBS, and I aim to meet the high standard of SCRUBS General Secretaries from committees before me!

Outside of SCRUBS, you will probably fine me ....well.... STILL attached to a computer screen, as well as watching far too many TV shows, and passing time with all sorts of card and video games.

Hi everyone :)

I'm Maria, the new SCRUBS Head of Skills. I am thrilled to have stayed on the committee this year and I'm beyond excited about all the skills teaching sessions and events we have planned for the upcoming year! We'll be teaching you a range of suturing techniques and surgical skills, with the help of plastic surgeons and other specialists. The focus of this year is to provide you with more opportunities to practice your skills under the supervision of surgical registrars and consultants. I'm most looking forward to meeting all you surgery enthusiasts and working with people who share my passion.

Outside of SCRUBS you will fine me experimenting in the kitchen, at a concert, or just being a bit of a geek re-watching Lord of the Rings for the 100th time.

Hi - I'm a GEM student, and I've come to medicine after an early career as a researcher (psychiatry) and management consultant in Accenture's health practice.

I'll be contributing to GEM exposure to surgery in 2015/16 alongside John and Shai, through organising:

- Porcine cardiac dissection

- Suturing skills

 Mock OSCE practice

- Revision lectures

Hey Guys!

This is my first year on the SCRUBS committee. As an anatomy coordinator, I will be delivering anatomy tutorials each week along with two other anatomy coordinators. Our role is to prepare the first/second years for that week's DR session by giving them a comprehensive overview of the anatomy content!

Outside of SCRUBS, you are likely to find me volunteering with WAMS, in the Gym or watching the greatest show ever - How I Met Your Mother!

I look forward to meeting you all at the anatomy tutorials and other SCRUBS events!

Hi everyone!

This is my first year on the SCRUBS committee. I'm one of the three anatomy coordinators who will be delivering weekly anatomy tutorials - hopefully I can make my presentations colourful, interesting and memorable to prepare you for the DR!

Outside of SCRUBS, you'll find me larking about with SNoGS (Scouts and Guide Soc) or playing my flute with the Musical Medics.

I look forward to seeing you all in LT3!

Hey! I'm one of the anatomy coordinators for this year so it'll be my job to deliver weekly anatomy tutorials to help you prepare for the dreaded DR! I'm keen and passionate about anatomy and hopefully you'll find that my teaching reflects that!

Outside of SCRUBS you'll find me singing, playing guitar or doing squats at the gym. See you all at LT3 or other SCRUBS events!
